2006 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient

The 2006 Distinguished Alumni Award was given to Denny McLeod. McLeod was a diligent student with natural leadership qualities, which lead to his selection to Chief Engineer of the Corps of Cadets. After graduation and sailing with the Merchant Marine, McLeod graduated with a degree in Business Administration of UC Berkeley. He also earned a commission as a naval reserve officer in the submarine reserve group. After working for others, McLeod formed his own engineering company; Rigging International in 1969. Rigging International was hired to stabilize and repair the San Francisco's Bay Bridge after it was damaged in 1989 during an earthquake. CEO McLeod was awarded a key to the city of the successful completion of that job. McLeod retired in 1994, and pursues many hobbies.
